Like many Iphone/Ipad/Ipod Touch users I find myself scouring the app store trying to find the most useful productivity/design apps. Last night I came across this brilliant drawing application called Adobe Ideas made by of course Adobe. This application is by far the best drawing application for Apple mobile devices yet. Before I yabber on about how great the Adobe Ideas App is I must say this disclaimer. I recognise that any drawing app on the Iphone/Ipod Touch fails on so many levels in comparison to sketching on pen and paper. However with a stylus (with some organic tip so it will work on a capacitive screen) on the Ipad this application would be incredibly awesome!
Adobe Ideas is a digital sketchbook which allows you to draw from scratch or get a photo from your photo albums and edit it or jot down notes. The biggest flaw of most of these drawing applications is that once you have the sketch complete what on earth do you do with it? You can’t export it, you can’t edit it later on your main computer. Adobe Ideas is vector based and it will export your sketches/designs to pdf, so when you get on your main computer you can open and edit in Illustrator/Photoshop/Indesign etc. The interface of the application is a benchmark for all others it is intuitive, fast and aesthetically beautiful.

Now all I need is an Ipad. Or an Ipad that is double the size and I will be set for life.
I tried this out on Iphone and like you said it serves no functional purpose for real design unless you are bored out of your mind on a bus/train trip

no, unfortunately not
